  5. This is a Tabby event compatible program that does NOTHING!
  6. Really, it clears out memory and 'waits' for a period of time
  7. that you define.
  8.  
  9. I put this together for a friend that was having memory problems
  10. with a 4 meg. Mac, System 7, Tabby and his BBS. The problem was
  11. that some of the Tabby programs (the arcmail programs in his case)
  12. were not clearing them selfs out of memory and there could eventually
  13. be 2, 3 or possibly more programs in memory at one time.  This
  14. condition would cause a Heap error or cause the Tabby or BBS
  15. program to drop to the finder because of the memory condition.
  16. My friend tried changing memory assignments, using FragFighter,
  17. and other tricks to no avail.

  19. Simply add this program to your Tabby event strings after any
  20. program that you are having memory trouble with.
  21.  
  22. When you get this program the delay time is set for 30 seconds.
  23. You can change this value with ResEdit by changing the number
  24. contained in string #2500.  Any number above 1 is acceptable.

  26. TimeOut will exit itself from memory quickly when it launches
  27. the next event program.

  29. TimeOut will run great under System 6 as well if you need it.
  30.  
  31. Rebuild your desktop if you don't see the real icon for any of
  32. my utilities. (seems like you have to do this often with new
  33. icons and System 7)

  35. (TabbyNet will choke if your event lists get too long, so you might want
  36. to abbreviate TimeOut to TO -- remember to change the application name
  37. if you do!)
